When you switch the game's language in the setting's menu it's directing the game's file paths to read from 1 of 2 folders. The problem with XV2 is that there was no pathing structure set up for the game's intro files or rather there's only a single path that leads to the English intro and it only. I believe the problem this game has is that it seems to load your settings at the title screen, but the intro plays, of course, before that. Originally posted by Hanuke:If I remember correctly, while it's correct that without modding, you can't watch the intro in Japanese when it's playing at the actual intro of the game, you can re-watch it on the Time Vault, all with japanese voicing. That's how pretty much every game handles it.

It should be doing that for the intro as well or rather the intro's pathing should be the same as the pathing that exists from the options menu. You can play it in the Time Vault & the intro plays before the main menu screen however other games do that too & changing the language changes the intro language as well.

If I remember correctly, while it's correct that without modding, you can't watch the intro in Japanese when it's playing at the actual intro of the game, you can re-watch it on the Time Vault, all with japanese voicing. The only way to get the intro in Japanese is to copy over the English intro files with the Japanese ones. The audio files for the Japanese intro exist however there's no pathing to those specific files when you switch languages which is what causes it to remain in English.

It's permanently in English no matter what language you select. He's talking about the game's text, not the voices.įunny enough you also can't change the game's intro audio from English to Japanese.
